It's been a crazy winter here in Maine in the foothills of the White Mountains, as you can see from the picture above, taken in my back yard.  It seems as though every week a storm has roared through dropping a foot of snow.  But March 21 is just around the corner.  Then it will start melting and mud season (otherwise known as Spring) will arrive.
